Defibrillator

  • A defibrillator is available whilst the clubhouse is open and is located next to the professional shop. Please call 999 in the first instance before attempting to retrieve it.

Out of Bounds

  • The boundary of the course including the Clubhouse & Surrounds. The boundaries are designated by either fences, hedges, walls or white posts.
  • 1st – To the right-hand side, 2nd - To the right of the path, as indicated by white posts
  • 9th – Internal out of bounds to the right-hand side, 13th & 18th – Internal out of bounds to the left-hand side as indicated by white posts. (The 1st Left, 7th Left & 11th Left are not affected by the internal OB)

Overhead Wires & Pylons

  • Any ball striking an overhead power line, pylon or supporting structure/wires MUST be replayed without penalty. If any part of the Pylon or Structure interferes with your stance or intended line of swing, then relief can be taken without penalty under Rule 16.1

Balls leaving the course

  • Any ball leaving the course on the 7th or 8th hole must be reported to the Pro-shop as soon as possible.

Immovable Obstructions

  • All fixed sprinkler heads are immovable obstructions, relief under Rule 16 applies.
  • All roads and paths on the course, even if not artificially surfaced, are treated as immovable obstructions from which free relief is allowed under Rule 16.1

Suspension of play

  • A suspension of play due to a dangerous situation will be signalled by one long blast of a klaxon horn.

Ground under repair

  • All areas marked with a white line are defined as GUR relief can be taken under rule 25-1

Measuring Devices

  • Devices that only measure distance can be used, penalty for breach of rule 7 is Disqualification.

Provisional Ball for a Ball in Penalty Area - Local Rule B-3
Designated Penalty Area Holes – 1, 7, 8, 12 and 18

On holes 1, 7, 8, 12 and 18, if it is virtually certain that a ball not found will be in the penalty area.

  • A player may play a provisional ball.
  • By playing a provisional ball on these holes, the player is deemed to have chosen relief for a ball in the penalty area.

 Outcomes:

Original ball found outside the penalty area

    • The original ball is the ball in play
    • The provisional ball must be abandoned

 Original ball not found or found in the penalty area

    • The provisional ball becomes the ball in play
    • The player may not play the original ball from the penalty area
    • No further relief options are available for the original ball
