Captain's Update - January 2019

I hope everyone has had a great time over the festive period and wish everyone all the best for the new year.

The Golf course remains in excellent condition for the time of year and it is great to see so many members still playing at this time which I believe is due to the continuing good weather conditions.

Once again I have to remind all players about the repairing of pitch marks, being brutally honest as I often am, some of our members are clearly disregarding having any consideration for other golfers whatsoever and not repairing either their own or any other visible pitch marks.
If any player clearly witnesses other golfers blatantly not repairing their pitch mark I would be grateful if you would either politely ask them to repair it and  / or bring it to my attention where I will deal with the matter accordingly.

Some great work has been carried out on the course by the Greens staff in particular “Finch Falls “ which looks amazing on the 18th.

The pond on the 18th is in the process of being dredged and cleaned and work will start very soon restructuring the 8th hole.
Could I ask all members who are still playing golf to persevere with the Greens Staff whilst they are carrying out the work on the course.

At the beginning of this year we have had an outstanding intake of almost 30 both new and previous members returning to the club.
I would kindly ask that our current members make all of them welcome into our Golf Club.

Finally The Billy Foster Evening has been received tremendously, the event quickly sold out with over 130 tickets being sold.

If anyone has missed out on the event and would like to attend please leave your name either in the Pro shop or with myself and if any places become available we will be able to contact you.

Once again Thank you for your support throughout the year.

Many Thanks
